Just got back to Africa after 6 weeks in the U.S. What a rush!
 
Life here is so much less hectic and more peaceful in so many ways. We have no Walmart, no McDonalds, no Dunkin Donuts. Very few paved roads, goats in the street, dust everywhere. But everyone smiles and waves and says "Bon Arrive" (welcome back). 

So funny that we Americans think our country is "more civilized". 

Today is my birthday. I am telling everyone that I am 26, but the truth is that I am 46.  I FEEL 26, though, and that is the important thing!

My husband took me out to a Chinese restaurant for lunch which was a treat - we almost never eat out here, even though the restaurants are very good.

I've spent a good part the day reading things that interest me and found that two of my friends here have really great blogs about living in this country, so I decided that I should start a blog too!

So, here it is - TA DA!!!
